How the college cost calculator works
College costs have historically risen faster than general inflation. We grow today's annual cost by your college inflation rate to each year of study, then work out how much you need in savings on the first day of college, allowing the rest of your savings to keep earning while you pay for later years.
The monthly amount is what you would need to deposit at the end of each month until college starts, on top of your current savings, to reach that goal.
