How the time card calculator works
Each day's hours = clock-out minus clock-in minus unpaid break. A clock-out earlier than the clock-in counts as the next morning (an overnight shift).
Overtime is the hours above the weekly threshold (40 by default) and is paid at the overtime rate, usually 1.5 times the hourly rate. If you set a daily limit, hours past it count as overtime first.
