How the healthy weight calculator works

A healthy weight for adults is usually defined as a BMI of 18.5 to 24.9. Rearranging the BMI formula gives the weight range for your height: weight = BMI × height² (in meters).

Where you sit within the range matters less than waist size, fitness and blood markers. A waist under half your height is a good second check.
