How it was calculated
- Epley: 1RM = w × (1 + reps / 30) = 185 × (1 + 5 / 30) = 215.8
- Brzycki: 1RM = w × 36 / (37 - reps) = 185 × 36 / 32 = 208.1

How the one rep max calculator works
Your one rep max (1RM) is the most weight you can lift once with good form. Rather than testing it, you can predict it from a set of several reps. Epley (1985): 1RM = weight × (1 + reps / 30). Brzycki (1993): 1RM = weight × 36 / (37 - reps).
The formulas agree closely for 2 to 10 reps and drift apart for higher reps. The training table shows the weight for each percentage of your 1RM and the reps most people can do at it.
